Roadmap and Objectives
We have an unwavering commitment to the cultural, ecological, and economic revitalization of our community and the ones around us. We share several key objectives below and will update the section with a roadmap.
Objectives
We have multi-decade-long objectives centered around energy independence, food sovereignty, land stewardship, and economic revitalization.
Indigenous Food Adoption
Have 100% of food availability of the community's basic nutrition requirements met by foods from our regional Indigenous food system by 2040, and 80% of their diets coming from Indigenous food systems.
Outreach and Cultural Exchange
Support cross-cultural exchange and collective community development across Indian country and beyond.
Indigenous Research
Revenues allocated to TEWFA from partner for-profit businesses of the will go to fellowships for researchers (priority on Indigenous researchers) to engage in cutting-edge research in the Science, Technology, Art, Nature (STEAN) space.
Energy Independence
Have 100% of community-owned land and infrastructure run on renewable energy by 2035. 80% of community members' energy will be provided from renewable sources by 2040.
Economic Revitalization
Prioritize projects that help that support education in critical sectors. Help to incubate business models, and policies that lead to the highest net benefit for Indigenous communities and surrounding regions.

Establish the Powhatan Confederacy DBA Traditional Eastern Woodland Foodways Alliance (TEWFA) organization as a 501(c)3. (Completed: Feb, 2024)
